This will start out as 10 hours per week, spread over two days; one weekday and one weekend. As your skills develop, you will be offered more work hours.

Job Duties:

​

You will assist with detailing vehicles as needed. Work includes, but is not limited to the below:​

​

  • Assist with navigation to and from job site

  • Checking in customer 

  • Setting up equipment

  • Vacuum vehicles thoroughly

  • Clean the nook and crannies of the vehicle

  • Deep clean carpets seats, and mats. 

  • Shine leather and vinyl surfaces

  • Hand wash & dry exterior

  • Decontaminate paint

  • Clean & polish wheels

  • Polish & wax exterior paint

Requirements​​

  • A valid driver's license AND own a registered, insured, and reliable vehicle.

  • Able to meet at Colonie Center ( 1425 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205) OR Hannaford Century Mall (900 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206), or Buggy Bubbly Bath Car Wash (3 Kraft Ave, Albany, NY 12205) by 8:00AM. Location depends on job.

  • Comfortable traveling to job sites - Most jobs are within 1 hour of Albany, NY.

  • This job requires consistent bending and light lifting. You must be physically able to work outdoors for a minimum of a few hours. You will be exposed to the elements (eg. cold, sun, heat, bugs).

  • You must have an eye for detail. You will need to remove dirt and grime in small spaces and crevices, stains on the seats, and defects on the vehicle's paint.

  • Professionalism & respect for other's property. We work on private residential or commercial business property. Civility is expected when working.

  • Be comfortable around animals. Many customers have curious pets that may approach when working. 

  • Positive Attitude 

  • Punctuality

  • Computer literacy and efficient with email communication

  • General knowledge and appreciation for cars​

Additional Information

​

*Please note: This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. There are no guarantee of hours. You will be offered job assignments as they become available, and you will have the option to accept them.

​

Work Hours: 8:00AM-1:00PM.

Work Days: Depends on weather, but will typically be Tuesdays & Saturdays.

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr + tips

Pay Schedule: Cash at the end of each job.

Anticipated Start Date: April 2024

Typical Day

  1. You will meet at by 8:00AM at either Colonie Center, Buggy Bubble Bath Car Wash, or Hannaford Plaza. If you live within a reasonable distance; we can arrange pickup from your home or another predetermined location.

  2. We will drive to the job location. You will assist with navigation as needed.

  3. Upon arrival, you will help set up equipment and check in the customer

  4. You will then help clean the vehicle as instructed.

  5. After completion, you will be driven back to Colonie Center.

Application Process

After reviewing your application; if you are a fit; we will schedule a meeting. At this meeting you will get more information about the position, and I'll answer any questions you may have. If both sides are interested we will schedule a day and time for you to detail your own vehicle. This will be a time for you to get a feel of what the expectations are. I will provide all the equipment and supplies, and walk you through what needs to be done. 

 

If your work is good, you'll be invited to help on mobile jobs.
